cloud - How to create a Web app to call phones from pc -


i new cloud telephony. how can develop software can make calls pc phone without using twilio , all.i particularly confused, how done because how can call phone number an ip address. essentials required , how should or how should started ?

this broad question there lots of answers.

on browser side need use webrtc or custom browser extensions able communicate between 2 endpoints, on top of build voip protocol. example design own (e.g. skype), or use standards based 1 sip or sort of hybrid.

once have voice (and/or video) between 2 endpoints going, can think gatewaying communications out external systems. there number of ways it. if can gateway communications sip based system can use pstn voice gateway hareware or software sip trunk gateway. depend on area of world host hour servers , telecommunications companies offer , may depend on amount of traffic using well.

there lots , lots of moving parts lots of pitfalls. many cover here.
