php - ExpressionEngine source control via git -


im stuck supporting expressionengine sites , i'm trying check cms source control.

i failing since cannot see way decouple database templates , other structures. i'd able version control aspects in cms including content , channel creation template creation , modification.

i'm not sure why ee legacy system, pushed out v2.8 few days ago , have been updating system years.

if you're familiar wordpress, process shouldn't different. need save templates files , version control along system files. you're not going version-controlling database similar way wouldn't doing wordpress.

simply turning google give hundreds of answers how i'll leave consider definitive reading on subject:
