Persistent Object defined by a CronJob on Rails -


i have report takes long assembled, make cronjob (with rufus scheduler gem) generate report after midnight when there´s no traffic on application.

the question is: need save result of cronjob routine in db table or can have mantaining on global variable example. possible? usual , safe?

the objective have report without using de db. generate (lets say) array daily data of report, , ux manipulate report want without messing db makes server (aws) loaded , slowing down entire website. way, controllers use persistent array generate reports , server keep running fast.
