Android Studio can't access SDK Manager -

i have downloaded , installed android studio 0.4.2 , loaded android project. project gives me error:

cause: failed find target android-17 please install missing platform android sdk manager.

so great, go sdk manager, , missing platform. problem is, cannot access sdk manager. sdk manager button grayed out , when go tools, there no option android, can't go toold

any ideas on how can fix problem? have used eclipse adt before , never had issue...

close project from

file > close project

doing take ou android studio welcome screen. there navigate path

configure > project defaults > project structure > android sdk

set android sdk location here, can check api's level same screen inside sdks tab.

now import project again. can set project specific sdk after opening project from

file > project structure
