android - Cleaned the project and r.java is not generated -


i have project used worked fine, replaced java file(class) file other java project(had code in it), , strings.xml , of layouts. , class dont recognise of new xml id's, though double-checked , seemed ok , hit "save" on each of files. tried clean project , made r.java file disappear good. checked answers in:

developing android in eclipse: r.java not regenerating

but nothing helped me.

the xml files have no errors, , didnt changed manifest file. replaced .java file , layouts. else can problem? second time happens me while trying "import" others files project.

restart, clean , rebuild application in android studio or java application help. if using android studio then, can try sync project files gradle file.

should under tools --> android --> sync project files gradle file in android studio.
