java - What is liveness failure? -


i have seen liveness failure mentioned @ various places failed comprehend or find or definition on internet.

java tutorial states liveness

a concurrent application's ability execute in timely manner

i expected inability or failure of program/thread advance/terminate in cases when it's example stuck in endless loop or in deadlock. not sure how interpret 'timely manner'.

can explain me , provide me simple example?
