how to run asp.net application under local user account -


i want run asp.net mvc 5 application under local user account. tried adding below line in web.config

 <identity impersonate="true" username="localusername" password="password" />

however, it's giving error

unable start debugging on web server. web server did not respond in timely manner.

actually, system hangs when hit f5 run application, , above timeout error after few minutes.

am doing wrong ? suggestions ?

this sounds doing remote debugging.

the debugging user must in administrators group on server or debugging user must “own” process , in debugger users group or administrators group. when “own” process, means identity of asp.net worker process must same debugging user’s credentials. done section of machine.config in windows xp , in windows 2000 or apppool identity in windows server 2003. also, way let developer perform remote debugging without having administrative credentials on remote web server. following kb article explains well. particular article states minimum permissions debugging in visual studio .net. however, article overlooked when trying troubleshoot debugging problems.
