Problems connecting MySQL Workbench to Google Cloud SQL -


i trying connect google cloud sql not sure or get username , databasename. not sure which.

i trying connect using mysql workbench. know get hostname , password , know had add ip address.

i not sure hostname and/or th username leafy-galaxy:invented-fake-table (these fake values)

by default, cloud sql instances have user named root blank password , root permissions on instance. recommended set strong password root user (you can in console).

once have set root password , connected using mysql workbench (or similar) should create additional users manage finer grained access database. see mysql access privilege system more information managing mysql users:
