google cloud sql - HIPAA Status? CloudSQL / Compute Engine VM -


from understanding, feature @ point implemented. store phi, must have baa. baa google apps allows person utilize user accounts limits phi email, calendar, , drive.

gae can secured locking user access google apps account, if google apps account has baa, that's great start.

google vm's can locked down networks , protocols, adds quite bit of security on end. great setup sftp exchange phi on vm. if cloudsql wasn't option, person run mysql vm.

cloudsql phi data encrypted before storing database.

it seems secure platform , easy setup , maintain, without baa gae, doesn't good. there @ google person contact possibility of signing baa long followed safe practices? adopters. if not, current timeline like?

i know aws option, capability of connecting google app user accounts directly gae such great feature rather use gae.

according this announcement february, google offers baa cloud platform. (which includes cloud sql , compute engine) since legal agreement, looks need contact google sales team more details.
