Bootstrap and html5 - section or div? -


i have question regarding using bootstrap - see on default use lot of divs instead of sections etc.

i've been reading html5 specification lately - when use section , when use div. basic idea divs should used if specific html5 element doesn't apply.

now, if want create html5 website using bootstrap, should change divs specific html elements (for example section)?

it depends on page's content use html5 tags , apply bootstrap classes this:

<section class="row">     ... </section>  <footer class="row">     ... </footer>

but said depends on content, , more, you're not forced use <section> tags, have specific purpose represents generic document or application section, , they're not mandatory.

the <div> tags generic tag used styling, in bootstrap. if want keep <section> tags, maybe prefer mixed solution this:

<section>     <div class="row">        ...     </div>     <div class="row">       ...     </div> </section>

with solution <section> tag used grouping contents, should be, , <div> tags styling it.
